Job Summary:

We are seeking a meticulous Quality Control Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in molecular biology, laboratory procedures, and data collection. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to research and development in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities:

Manage adjustments of in-process bulk and bulk retains[RF1] .

Issue C of A for Finished Goods & Bulk.

Calibration of pH meter, pycnometer, and weight verification of weighing scale.

Cleaning verification using a luminometer.

Check the weight of the bulk after transfer (calculate the yield, verify label information after transferring bulk).

Verify critical raw material used during batching (includes active pharmaceutical ingredient and DI water).

Prepare and submit samples to a 3rd party laboratory and follow-up on results.

Review Micro/Analytical Lab report from 3rd party lab and request Out-of-Specification (OOS) report from the Lab when necessary.

Manage customer bulk submissions and bulk retain samples.[RF2]

Maintain an awareness of cGMP, Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), good housekeeping and safety in the laboratory.

Communicate any discrepancies and OOS’s with Director of Quality, assist and/or issue OOS investigations, deviations, and issue non-conformance material reports (NCMR) per established SOP.

Maintain record of temperature and humidity charts in production and warehouse areas.

Maintain batch records/documentation in accordance with internal procedures.

Maintain inventory of lab supplies.

Support and enforce all company policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Experience in the cosmetic/pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality.

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) is required.

BA or BS Degree in applicable field.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Quality Control/Assurance knowledge in a cGMP environment is required.

Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage time well.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Attention to detail.

Motivated and works well with others.

Physical Demands :

· Moderate walking, standing, bending and stooping.

· Moderate period of time looking at a computer screen and typing on a keyboard.

· Minimal lifting and carrying.

· Vision abilities include close vision, distance vision and ability to adjust focus.

Working Environment:

Work will be primarily in a temperature-controlled laboratory area. Portion of work time will be spent in production area requiring the wearing of proper protective [RF1] equipment and dealing with constant equipment in motion and high noise levels.

Rate of Pay:

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour (Depending on Experience)

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
