Quality Engineer-Android

What You'll Do o Strong automation experience using Appium for iOS and Android platforms o Identifying existing functional tests in Xcode o Creating an inventory of all needed tests o Integrate Appium tests in to build pipeline for both iOS and Android platforms o Create release dashboard for test status (categorizing as must-have, should have for go/no-go) o Design and iterate a device fragmentation plan (which hardware to emulate, do we need 3rd party software to emulate, do we need eventually specific devices to test, etc) o The highly experienced quality professional who works under supervision learns quickly, brings ideas and passion to their daily responsibilities, and executes work to completion with excellence in a timely manner. o Experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment o Proficient in defect tracking and analyzing root cause utilizing tools ( Jira, Rally, etc.) o Strong understanding of automation and performance concepts and approaches. o Experience working with or on remote teams o Understand and utilize the risk-based testing technique o Experience in the test environment and test data management o Strong communication and collaboration skills, to challenge the norm What You Know o 3+ years of experience writing Selenium tests in Java or Javascript using ( Web Driver, Web Driver IO, Marathon, Appium, etc.) o 3+ years of experience with test runners (Junit, TestNG, Mocha, Jasmine) o Use SQL for back-end database validation o Support quality assurance programs and processes in alignment with QA strategy and deliverables in an Agile/Scrum environment with minimal guidance o Provide feedback on artifacts developed during requirements and analysis phase within client projects; authoring test cases/scripts, and performing test execution for both project and support related activities o Leverage technical expertise to develop, maintain, and execute automation tests o Identify opportunities to improve application code quality by increasing unit and integration test coverage
