This is a pipeline req for all Rad Tech - SSRS positions within Scripps Health. Schedules, shifts, and FTEsmay vary.

Join our System-Wide Radiology Float Pool as a Radiology Technologist at Scripps Health. This is a fast-paced team that handles a mix of both in-patient and out-patient imaging and procedures and will give you the opportunity to experience everything general radiology has to offer. The ideal candidate is passionate about their work and will gain experience in OR, Fluoroscopy, and GI as you continue to develop your skills with this team environment that feels like family.

As a Rad Tech, you will be responsible for providing age specific care, education and imaging procedures in conjunction with other members of the defined health care team. Adhering to safety standards and regulatory requirements; participating in QC and PI activities; maintaining own clinical competency and mandatory requirements.

This position requires the ability to float to all Scripps Health outpatient clinics and hospitals, includingEncinitas, La Jolla,Green, San Diego/Hillcrest and Chula Vista. Please confirm your agreement with this requirement prior to submission of your application.

All SSRS employees receive an hourly shift differential. In addition, a$5,000.00 retention incentive is offered for full time Rad Tech positions and a $2,500.00 retention incentive is offered for part time Rad Tech positions. Casual/per diem Rad Tech positions are not eligible for a retentionincentive.

  • Internal candidates
  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the followingcriteria must be met:

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offerletter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis andmay result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically notedin your offer letter.

Experience/Specialized Skills:

  • Completion of a formal training/educational program in an AMA/JCERT approved school of Radiology Technology.
  • Imaging experience in a hospital or clinic setting.

Required Certification/Registration:

  • CRT
  • FLUORO ELIGIBLE (MUST OBTAIN FLUORO WITHIN 6 MONTHS OF HIRE DATE),
  • BLS from American Heart Assoication

Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to work between all Scripps Health outpaintent clinics and five (5) hospital campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, Torrey Pines, San Diego, and Chula Vista

PREFERRED Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

1-2 years experience. Knowledge of patient focused care delivery.
