Radio Frequency (RF) Technician

Our client, a well-known organization in Rancho Cordova is looking for an RF Technician to join their team on a full time basis. Ideal candidates will have experience as an RF Technician for the satellite communications industry. This role requires the ability to understand standard RF test measurements and tuning high power RF amplifiers to meet customer specifications.

• Alignment, testing, troubleshooting and repair of high power solid state microwave amplifiers with a block upconverter and a digital control interface.
• Ability to understand standard RF test measurements and a familiarity with RF test equipment, including but not limited to: Spectrum analyzers, Signal Generators, Network Analyzers, Power Meters, etc.
• Tuning high power RF amplifiers to meet customer specifications.
• Working on S-Band, C-Band, X-Band, and Ku-Band amplifiers. Knowledge of standard RF test parameters is important – gain, power, VSWR, intermodulation distortion, 1dB compression, harmonics, etc.

• Two year associates degree in electronics or equivalent military/work experience
• Requires interest in applying hands-on skills to tune, troubleshoot and test RF (radio frequency) and microwave circuits applying principles and theories of electronics and electrical circuits.
• Requires soldering skills for tuning.
• Solid computer skills.

• May be tasked with lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 25 lbs., if able to do so.
• Must be able to sit for prolonged periods of time and walk/stand for moderate periods of time.
• Must be able to bend at the knees and waist frequently
• Must be able to repetitively use a telephone and a computer mouse and keyboard.
