Ranch Assistant – Full-Time – Landscape Maintenance (Primary Focus) + Light Animal Care

Pay: $18–$22/hr DOE

We’re looking for a full-time Ranch Assistant with a strong focus on landscaping and grounds maintenance. This role centers on maintaining the property’s outdoor spaces, with additional support for animal care as needed.

No experience is necessary for someone with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and the ability to learn quickly. Training provided.

Primary Duties – Landscaping & Grounds Maintenance:

Mowing, weed-whacking, edging, and general property upkeep

Pruning, trimming, and plant care

Irrigation checks, basic repairs, and seasonal yard work

Composting, soil work, planting, mulching

Keeping outdoor areas clean, safe, and organized

Debris removal, trail/path maintenance, small repairs

Animal & Ranch Support (As Needed):

Feeding, watering, and basic care for livestock (Horses, Sheep, Ducks, Chickens, Pigs)

Cleaning barns/coops, moving animals, refreshing bedding

Maintaining clean animal enclosures

Basic husbandry tasks (training provided)

Equipment & Tools:

Operation of mowers, weed-whackers, UTVs, hand tools, and basic power tools

Routine cleaning and upkeep of equipment

Qualifications:

Strong landscaping/groundskeeping experience preferred

Ability to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors in all weather

Comfort around animals (experience helpful but not required)

Reliable, self-motivated, and able to follow direction

Positive attitude and strong work ethic

Willingness to learn — no experience necessary for the right person

Work Environment:

This is a full-time, hands-on outdoor position involving physical labor, landscape upkeep, and light animal care. Perfect for someone who enjoys working with the land and being part of a small ranch team.
