Description We are seeking a detail-oriented Receptionist for our construction/contractor industry team based in Rancho Cordova, California. The Receptionist will be responsible for general receptionist duties such as greeting and directing visitors, answering phones, and managing the front desk. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Greet, welcome, and direct visitors appropriately with an emphasis on customer service Notify appropriate team members of guest's arrival Answer and direct phone calls professionally and efficiently Perform general office duties to support the smooth running of the office Manage the front desk, ensuring a high level of organization and efficiency Utilize basic office skills to perform tasks effectively Maintain strong written and verbal communication skills Exhibit strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks Utilize telephone skills to ensure effective communication with clients and team members. Requirements Possess basic office skills including knowledge of office equipment and software. Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work effectively. Proven experience in a receptionist role, preferably within the construction or contractor industry. Ability to interact with clients and staff in a professional and courteous manner. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Knowledge of basic bookkeeping and administrative management practices. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook. High school diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all duties. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think on feet. Excellent customer service skills and a friendly demeanor. Ability to handle and redirect calls as necessary. Willingness to learn and adapt to new responsibilities. Ability to maintain a clean and organized reception area. Knowledge of health and safety regulations within a construction environment would be an asset.
