Regulatory Affairs SupervisorJob Summary:The Regulatory Affairs Supervisor oversees the development and implementation of programs and policies to ensure company-wide compliance with regulatory agency requirements. This role includes daily supervision of regulatory personnel, acting as a backup to the manager, and maintaining positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders to enhance performance standards.Details:

Temp-to-Hire (about 3 month temp period)
Key Responsibilities:
Provide internal guidance on compliance with product regulations and intended use.
Interpret and evaluate supplier documentation, offering guidance on required next steps when information is incomplete.
Ensure the integrity of raw material data by reviewing, interpreting, and validating database entries.
Review technical and regulatory documents from suppliers for compliance with company requirements during the supplier approval process.
Assess international compliance for raw materials and maintain this data in the regulatory database.
Verify compliance data entered by team members to maintain database accuracy.
Examine product formulations for compliance with applicable regulations, customer requirements, and industry standards.
Draft documentation to support ingredient registration for foreign import and respond to customs requests.
Communicate approved compliance information to customers, certification agencies, and regulatory bodies.
Manage processes for foreign language label creation and approval.
Oversee the submission of products for certifications such as Kosher, Halal, and Organic.
Participate in certification audits and ensure documentation aligns with regulatory requirements.
Prepare and review Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and related documents.
Stay informed on new regulatory developments and advise staff on compliance requirements.
Ensure proper labeling and certification compliance for allergens, GMOs, bioengineering, and international laws.
Facilitate customs duty classifications and respond to inquiries related to regulatory affairs.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Food Science, or a related field.
3–5 years of regulatory and supervisory experience in relevant industries.
Familiarity with Halal, Kosher, or Organic certification processes.
Expertise in international regulatory compliance, technical documentation, and labeling requirements.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and guidelines (e.g., FDA, USDA, Prop 65, IFRA).
Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Proven leadership and team management skills.
