Regulatory Analyst, work side by side our end users, and other application team members, to install, enhance, and utilize the Epic software, help lead and manage workflow/software, and data flow changes, with a primary focus to integrate performance improvement and regulatory requirements. They integrate and maintain accuracy in data flow and information and ultimately transform the way that MemorialCare provides healthcare. Under general supervision, the Regulatory Analyst provides an intermediate level of operational, application build, and Performance Improvement (PI)/Regulatory expertise in completing application assignments to meet customer goals and desired outcomes. They are responsible for focused work efforts related to PI/Regulatory requirements including projects/change requests, performing workflow analysis, build, and documentation in collaboration with internal and external team members. They provide expertise related to the integrity of data capture, reporting, and data flow as aligned to PI/Regulatory requirements.

  • Participates as a proficient builder, in any phase of Epic projects, under the direction of Senior Epic application resources. The Regulatory Analyst works to configure, build, test, and install components of the EpicCare Ambulatory or ClinDoc applications, or modify whats already implemented, as it relates to data used for PI/Regulatory purposes
  • Maintains updated working knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulations related to electronic health record data, interoperability, structure, integration, and reporting
  • Evaluates Epic changes using PI/Regulatory knowledge and works to provide related customer service, troubleshooting, and training materials
  • Obtains appropriate PI / Regulatory information and incorporates this knowledge appropriately into work efforts
  • Prepares Epic Eligible Hospital (EH), Eligible Provider (EP) or system quality reports including quality measure summaries and trended data
  • Prepares and may submit, under direction of Senior Analyst or Architect, data for regulatory reporting. Ensures accuracy of submitted data.
  • Creates, gathers, and maintains supportive documentation for regulatory audits
  • Completes assigned tasks and projects successfully, while proactively communicating with leadership to prioritize workflows and mitigate risks. Tracks issues and provides solution-oriented escalation.
  • Collaborates with support teams to ensure seamless integration with PI/Regulatory requirements as well as offers consultation to staff and vendors, concerning PI/Regulatory features and proper uses of associated modules and systems.
  • Participates in making available continuing education and training documentation/programs to provide to customers in both the business workflow processes and the specific functions within systems used to increase understanding of PI/Regulatory requirements
  • Participates and contributes in managing all types and phases of MemorialCare system projects, using accepted project management techniques and tools. Collaborates with senior team member to meet evolving needs related to existing or anticipated application modifications in alignment with PI/Regulatory requirements.
  • Minimum 1-year healthcare experience in a technical, revenue, or clinical operations role required
  • Minimum 1-year experience in EpicCare Ambulatory or ClinDoc application software required
  • Experience with regulatory requirements highly preferred
  • Experienced with regulatory reporting or performance improvement in technical, hospital, or clinical setting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of EpicCare Ambulatory or ClinDoc, as well as operation(s) supported by the application
  • Demonstrated thorough ability to identify regulatory or quality requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and incorporate performance improvement or regulatory requirements into application within determined timeframes
  • Demonstrated proficiency with information systems technology including the Microsoft Office Products required
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively utilize system tools to meet functionality needs of users including the ability to create end-user reports
  • Experienced planning and organizing day-to-day activities, effectively managing more than one task, and meeting established deadlines
  • Has held previous role requiring participating in team projects with outwardly exhibited interpersonal cooperation
  • Demonstrated use of effective communication and interpersonal relations to achieve established goals
  • Associate degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience required
  • Epic Proficiency or Certification in EpicCare Ambulatory or ClinDoc application
