Client: Infosys Technologies Limited Job Title: Talend Admin Location: Rosemead, CA Duration: 06 Months + Ext possible No. of Positions: 02 Position Type: Contract Must have Skill:- - ETL/Hadoop Admin with expertise in Talend (or a similar ETL tool) and a Hadoop distribution (preferably Cloudera or Hortonworks). - Should have worked on the Manager UI (Talend Administration Center or Cloudera Manager). - Should know how to start/restart Talend/Hadoop services (front end and CLI). - Should know how to configure jobs/properties/services (Talend, Hadoop or others). - Should be able to troubleshoot environmental and ETL job issues. - Must have moderate to advanced SQL and Linux/Unix skills. - Must have moderate to advanced knowledge of Hadoop components like Hive, Spark, HBase, etc. - Should be able to tune (for performance) ETL/SQL or Hadoop jobs (including Spark, Hive, Impala, etc). - Optionally, should know how to upgrade an OS, install a tool patch (Talend/Hadoop). - Should be able to deploy ETL jobs both manually and automatically. - Should have DevOps knowledge, viz., how to build/deploy a job; how to build an automation pipeline, etc., how to write automation scripts. - Should have basic to moderate knowledge of securing a machine, configuring Sentry/Ranger rules, knowledge of AD. - Should be cloud-aware. Preferably knowledge of Talend Cloud Management Console, knowing how to create dynamic projects, remote engines and instances.
