Position Summary:

Under medical direction and by order of physician, performs a full range of respiratory therapeutic modalities and diagnostic measurements for patients requiring cardio-pulmonary services in both critical and non-critical care areas on all age groups except neonates

Licensure, Certifications, and Registrations:

Current State of California RCP License

Current BCLS required

Current ACLS required

Current PALS preferred

Education:

High school education

Graduation from an AMA approved 1 or 2 year Respiratory Therapy Program

Experience:

2-years’ experience in an acute care setting.

Minimum or 1 year of critical care experience including ventilator care and emergency room.

Special Qualifications:

Demonstrates desired clinical skills related to Respiratory Therapy.

Good communication skills

Good Computer skills desirable.

Ability to handle multiple priorities, without sacrificing quality of care.
