Intern will focus on creative retail tool kits and style guide development for Global Product Creation.What You Will Do
Support the creative design and development across all branded retail design experiences spanning the entire portfolio of The Walt Disney Company Franchises – Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Fox & National Geographic
Contribute to design development on retail toolkits/style guides across the portfolio of brands
Assist team with crafting architectural features, branding, signage, fixtures and visual merchandising
Awareness of fashion, market trends & understanding of IP guardrails and storytelling
Researching new materials and fabrication processes, learning about new technologies involved in advancing consumer experiences in retail
Ability to build strong POV boards for projects; this may include design benchmarking, materials & sketching to convey specific story telling or concepts
Required Qualifications & Skills
Technical proficiency in 3D modeling + rendering skills (Rhino & Enscape) and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
Hands-on ability to convey design ideas and concepts quickly to team members
Knowledge of visual merchandising standard processes and presentation
Strong communication skills, diplomacy, and collaborative spirit
Standout colleague with flexibility in design approaches & processes
Ability and eagerness to learn and adapt quickly and work in a constantly evolving environment
Understanding of visual identity and clear understanding of composition, color and graphic design within the built environment
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in graphic design, interior design, retail design, or construction
Proficiency in Animation and VR software (Adobe After Effects & Unreal)
An understanding of IP and use of characters and story telling within a built environment
Education
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR must have graduated from a college/university within 6 months at time of application posting OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
You’ll be an undergraduate or a recent graduate (within 6 months of your graduation date) pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Environmental Design, Industrial Design, or other related fields

Be at least 18 years of age
Have not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program
Possess unrestricted work authorization
