We invite you to join our highly engaged team of nurses in the Scripps Medical Foundation Telephone Triage Call Center department. This is a telephonic nurse triage position that works with Scripps and non-Scripps patients to be able to provide the appropriate level of care. The position also involves coordination of care within the various Scripps locations.The Clinic Access RN is responsible for all aspects of the Nursing Process of telephone triage by assessing the patient’s needs and coordination the appropriate care.

Provide education and information for patient access and ensure appropriate documentation and notes on patient interactions.

The RN will also contribute to the team as necessary to ensure quality patient care.

This is a Casual/Per-Diem position with a varied schedule that may include weekends and holidays. Hours will vary based on need.This position is remote but training will be onsite for at least four weeks. May be required to work onsite (La Jolla & 4S Ranch) as needed after training period. Must be local to San Diego.Preferred Education/Experience/Specialized Skills/Certification:

Two (2) or more years of RN experience in an acute care setting or Urgent Care, Cardiology, Pulmonology, Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or Pediatrics.

Prefer one or more years of experience in telephone triage.

Demonstrated ability to work with diverse patient population preferred.

Knowledge of Epic preferred.

BSN preferred.

ER, ICU, Triage experience preferred.

Required Education/Experience/Specialized Skills:

ADN or Nursing Diploma

Required Certification/Registration:

Current California RN license

Current BLS from the Association Healthcare Provider
