Roofing ForemanJob Description

We are seeking a dedicated and professional Roofing Foreman to oversee and manage roofing projects.

This role involves interacting with district staff, Construction Managers, architects, and engineers.

You will be responsible for ensuring that all work complies with roof manufacturers' warranties and managing projects primarily in the Greater Bay Area.

Responsibilities

Oversee and manage day-to-day roofing operations.

Report directly to the Superintendent.

Ensure professional interaction with district staff and Construction Managers.

Coordinate with architects and engineers.

Manage pre-existing solar systems during re-roofing projects and reinstall them.

Handle multiple trades including electrical, carpentry, and HVAC as needed.

Document and relay information in the field to the Superintendent.

Assist in documenting change orders and producing daily field paperwork and logs.

Manage a team of up to 10-12 people on a single project at a time.

Handle Requests for Information (RFIs) and discrepancies in work, turning them into change orders.

Ensure compliance with site conditions and plans/specifications.

Essential Skills

3-5 years of experience as a roofing lead, foreman, or superintendent.

Experience with roofing manufacturer system installations.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Proficiency in handling RFIs and documenting change orders.

Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience with Garland Roofing Systems.

Experience in Public Works projects.

Work Environment

You will primarily work on commercial roofing projects, mostly public works, throughout the Greater Bay Area, with a focus on the East Bay.

This is a union shop, but there is no requirement to sign up with the union.

The company provides necessary equipment, including tablets for field documentation.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Larkspur, California but projects will be all over the Bay Area
