We are hiring all-star team players who are guest oriented to help our team thrive!
Position Overview
Our Safety Hosts play a critical role in guest experience, safety, and team support. You're not just a
greeter—you help maintain the tone, flow, and safety of the entire venue. Safety Hosts must have a focus at the
entrance to greet guests, check IDs, and float through the dining room as needed. The host is expected to
perform the following duties:
1. GREET & ENGAGE WITH GUESTS
● Be warm, welcoming, and confident—the first and last impression matters.
● Example:
“Hi! Welcome to 33 Taps. Grab any open table—it’s open seating. You can easily order using the
QR code, with a server, or at the bar. Let me know if you need anything!”
● Explain how our ordering system works and let guests know we’ll bring their items out.
● Kindly ensure restrooms are used by customers only—ask if they’re joining us for food or drinks.
2. SAFETY & AWARENESS
● Ensure 33 Taps is a safe, welcoming environment at all times.
● Be alert and aware of guest behavior, potential over-intoxication, or disruptive conduct. Never use
physical contact; call law enforcement if safety is at risk. Document any incident thoroughly in an
incident report.
● De-escalate situations calmly and professionally; ask problem guests to leave if needed.
● Maintain constant communication with Management, Shift Leads, and other staff.
● Know what’s happening in the room at all times—this helps protect our team, guests, and the business.
● Check all guests’ IDs at the entrance and enforce venue policies such as:
○ No outside food or beverages
○ Restrooms are for guests only (1 guest per stall)
○ Keep capacity at a safe and manageable level
● Safety hosts must remain on-site until all restaurant employees have departed at the end of the
night.
3. FLOOR SUPPORT & FLOW
● Assist in seating: seat 2-tops at 2-tops, fill every seat during busy times.
● Help bus, clean tables, run food.
● Restroom checks—help keep them clean and stocked (1 person per stall).
● Keep the entire venue tidy and ready—help stock as needed.
4. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & CERTIFICATIONS
● Dress code will be strictly enforced – well-groomed and fresh.
● Valid BSIS Guard Card is REQUIRED
● Valid California RBS certification. (RBS can be obtained within 30 days of employment)
● This position may involve physical tasks including:
○ Climbing
