Sales Account Representative

Local Carpinteria cut flower grower and shipper is seeking a self-motivated, experienced sales person to add to our existing record-breaking sales team. If you are a self-starter that can work well with a team, then this position may be for you. This is a full-time, benefited position.

Job Responsibilities:

Primary Objective – to serve customers by selling products and meeting customer needs while achieving overall sales goals

Servicing Existing Accounts – maintain regular contact to obtain orders, accurately enter for fulfillment, reserve/confirm inventory and ensure prompt payment

Establish New Accounts – plan and organize daily work schedule to identify and connect with potential new customers within territory

Communicate daily with customers via phone, email, skype and in person as appropriate

Keep management informed by submitting activity and results reports such as daily call reports, weekly work plans, and monthly and annual territory analysis

Monitor competition by gathering current market information on pricing, products, new products, delivery schedules and marketing techniques

Recommend changes in products, service, policy by evaluating results and market developments

Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

Qualifications / Skills:

Bilingual is required, Spanish and English

Customer service experience

Sales experience, both wholesale and/or retail

Experience in closing sales

Territory management

Prospecting skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Ability to adapt and work with variety of personalities

Self-confidence

Knowledge of cut flowers a plus

Self-motivation

Education / Experience Requirements:

BA/BS degree in areas of marketing, promotion, communications, advertising or business admin preferred

Three to five years of sales experience
