Sales Exec - FEDERAL - Mainframe to Cloud Modernization Enterprise Sales / Remote / 320K OTE

Job Description:

Sales Specialists & Consultants are product, services, software or solution specialists that are responsible for leading pursuit in their assigned focus areas. Collaborates with and supports Account Managers and provides specialist expertise within the sales team. Drives proactive campaigns to build the pipeline, uses specialized knowledge and skills to prospect, qualify, negotiate and close opportunities. May have named accounts allocated, cover a designated geography, or may be allocated to one high-potential, competitive attack account.

Responsibilities:

  • Selling Statement of Work (SoW) based consulting services around moving mainframe-based workload/applications to non-mainframe platforms to provide expert advisory and technical integration services that maximize customer ROI with our Software products - with Services revenue approximately $500k - $2M or transition/transformation for a more complex $2M - $10 M deal.
  • Develops a long-term sales pipeline to increase the company's market share in specialized areas.
  • Uses expertise to seek out new opportunities for value by expanding and enhancing existing opportunities.
  • Work with new and existing customers to set the direction for business development and solution replication.
  • Develops and owns relationships with the Micro Focus client base and wider
  • Typical quota: $2M

Skills / Experience:

  • Strong knowledge of software products and services, solutions, or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings
  • Strong Mainframe Knowledge - complex and lengthy sale cycles
  • Enterprise sales experience
  • Consultative solution selling and business development skills to align the client's business needs with the solution.
  • Leadership and initiative to drive services and sales in accounts - prospecting, negotiating, and closing deals.
  • Strategic planning skills on a business development level; ability to build an effective business case reflecting the value of appropriate strategy.
  • Effective partnering with license account team to build an effective account plan and strategy to drive incremental revenue in account.
  • 5 years of sales experience selling consulting services to enterprise customers.
  • Has some knowledge of mainframe applications and environments.
