Senior Accountant

Description We are offering a contract-to-permanent employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in San Carlos, California. The selected candidate will play a pivotal role in our finance team, supporting financial reporting, ensuring the integrity of our financial records, and contributing to the month-end close process. This role requires collaboration with various departments across the organization.Responsibilities: Ensure the accuracy of financial transactions and maintain the general ledger Prepare and post journal entries in accordance with GAAP Perform reconciliation tasks for bank, credit card, and balance sheet accounts Conduct financial analysis to aid in management decision-making Assist in the production of monthly financial statements Prepare and analyze key financial reports, such as income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements Implement process improvements to boost efficiency and accuracy in accounting procedures Assist in the maintenance of financial models and forecasts Aid in audit schedule preparation and liaise with external auditors Maintain compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations, including tax and audit compliance and reporting Assist with special projects as assigned by the team. Requirements Holds a minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accountant Proficient in Account Reconciliation and Balance Sheet Reconciliation Has experience with Bank Reconciliations Familiar with maintaining and updating the General Ledger Capable of making accurate Journal Entries Has a strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel Experienced in Month End Close procedures Has a good understanding of Internal Control principles Familiarity with QuickBooks software is a mustRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
