Senior Accountant - publicly traded debt fund

Position: Senior AccountantEssential Responsibilities:

Oversee targeted day-to-day accounting activities of the Company.

Prepare and organize journal entries.

Prepare account reconciliations.

Track portfolio investments.

Monitor intercompany transactions among funds.

Manage operating expenses and accruals.

Track credit facility cash flows.

Assist in the preparation and review of customer billings.

Track revenue and prepare amortization schedules.

Calculate loan prepayments.

Provide additional support and analytics to senior management as needed.

Assist external auditors with schedules and other necessary information during the annual audit.

Requirements

Key Qualifications for Senior Accountant:

3+ years of experience in the financial services industry.

Ideal candidates will have management company experience, working in-house at a competing venture debt, venture capital, or private equity firm in an accounting role.

Candidates with fund accounting experience are also welcome.

Not seeking candidates straight out of public accounting; hands-on experience is required.

A desire to learn, wear multiple hats, and grow with the firm.
