Job Summary

Are you passionate about defining, building, maintaining the company's most crucial products? Does leading a diverse and geographically disbursed team with the challenge of further enabling modern full stack engineering practices in support of high performing products with scalability and where exceptional business relationships are critically valued?

We are looking for a seasoned professional to drive game changing engineering practices, influencing continuous delivery as a foundation. In this position, you will report into the Vice President of Product Delivery for Core Settlement Services. You will manage a team of people leaders, engineers, solution architects, quality engineers/SDETs for multiple products and services, enabling experiences that disrupt markets, generate value and positively impact thousands of lives. You will drive capabilities migration, using necessary architectural principles and modern, secure engineering practices (e.g. APIs, event driver and cloud native architecture). At times, you may need to roll up your sleeves to engage and remove obstacles. You will work closely with business development teams, partners and internal product teams and cross-leveraging engineering talent internally and externally and plays a key role in co-creating a holistic vision with Product Management. You will foster an environment of collaborative and agile technologists who imaging, develop, and launch solutions with transformative power. From digital and cloud solutions to original and developing technology products and services, you will address challenges at their core.

Responsibilities:
  • Work alongside and collaborate with UX, product engineering, and partner teams to deliver products, features, services and tools.
  • Explore and innovate new technologies, features and tools.
  • Mentor and coach engineers on the team, helping them to develop into technical leaders
  • Build roadmaps and long-term team vision in partnership with the Product team
  • Be accountable for driving project execution
  • Anticipate future technical needs and craft plans to realize them
  • Accountable to build front-end experiences and back -end services allow internal and external customers to transact across various systems with minimal response times.
  • Build a sustainable high performing team and a work environment that's both supportive and challenging
  • Consult on a regular basis with leadership to align
  • Promote consistency across our digital channels applying consistency and reuse
  • Leading, motivating and growing a geographically distributed team

What you bring:
  • Experience in building multi-skilled teams capable of rapid industrialized development in the cloud.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven record of hiring, building high performing teams, and demonstrated experience in building a culture of innovation.
  • Strong background in software development for real-time systems using .NET, etc.
  • Competent with agile development in an ADO agile scrum environment.
  • Experience with continuous integration and delivery of software
  • Experience engineering highly available, cloud-native architectures, with expertise in technologies such as .Net, HTML/CSS, Rest API services, AWS, DevSecOps
  • Ability to weigh several and often conflicting constraints to make rapid decisions in a multifaceted and fast paced enterprise
  • You have enough technical experience to discuss architecture and product decisions with engineers
  • You have a proven history of shipping products with consistent execution
  • You don't shy away from performance conversations, and you recognize the relationship between objective feedback and career growth
  • You're deeply invested in associate development and fostering a positive engineering culture
  • You are optimistic, resourceful, easy to work with, and not afraid to speak up and share opinions
  • You have proven experience developing technology roadmaps and cultivating innovative technology solutions
  • You're a technical expert with strong business insight and the ability to communicate effectively with both product and business partners. You are perceived as a leader of software engineering best practice
  • You have extensive technology vendor management experience (management of offshore teams a plus). You've led technology direction, guidance, and oversight of vendor solutions and integrations

Typical Education
  • Normally requires Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience

Typical Range of Experience
  • 5+ years of technical experience as a senior contributor.
  • 8+ years of management experience in a similar technical and business environment, including 3 to 5 years of director-level experience
