Job Family: Information TechnologyReq ID: 412850Reporting to the VP of Technology and Development Operations, this leader will be responsible for providing the technology vision, strategy, and roadmap to enable Siemens DISW with their cloud enablement of their software development while providing reliable compute and storage platform internal to the company. This position requires cross functional leadership role supporting product development, datacenter operations, software development in the cloud and working with external partners. As an individual with strong communications and partnering skills, he/she will collaborate directly with the executive management team and decision makers in various product segments to identify, recommend, develop, implement, and support technology solutions for all aspects of product development. As a technology leader, the role requires to identify emerging trends and technologies in software development, evolve the architecture to create a simpler, modern, and more secure infrastructure, and run a reliable 24x7 operations. This includes developing and executing an operations strategy for cloud transformation working in partnership with various product segments. As the head of software development Infrastructure Services, collaborate with various product development leaders to remove inefficiencies in DevOps and product development as a whole. You will play a strategic role where you will design and build infrastructure for software development, ensuring the highest levels of security and responding swiftly to any new and emerging vulnerabilities and security threats.Responsibilities: Set the vision and execute the compute, storage, datacenter and cloud transformation services in a software development environment. Lead cloud transformation of software development Develop and implement global datacenter strategy Lead, develop and recruit a global team of talented employees Set the technical direction and lead the operational support of compute, storage, high performance computing and datacenter services Work closely with the cyber security and compliance teams to deliver the most secure and reliable infrastructure platforms. Re-engineer and implement industry best operational management processes Build strong partnerships with all business and engineering teams Stay on top of emerging trends and advancements in relevant technologies and identify opportunities to improve our operational capabilities. Plan and implement Disaster Recovery for Software Development environment Manage large capital and operating expense budget Work closely with the product development teams in all technical operations and works to reduce or eliminate any repetitive or manual tasks. Align with product development to ensure optimized investments and efficiencies in software engineering tools and platforms Drives innovation and provides thought leadership across the teams, rewards innovation, and helps communicate new ideas across teams while fostering and promoting a culture of innovation across local and global teams Responsible for providing objective and comprehensive input to senior leadership and executive decision makersQualifications - Required Masters or Bachelor’s Degree in computer science or any other relevant field with experience in large Software Development Company 20+ Years IT Infrastructure operations responsibilities, managing the availability, security, performance, economics of change in a global, distributed team environment Deep understanding of current compute, storage, cloud services technologies and operational best practices including Linux, Windows, virtualization, and Containers Experience in managing multiple in-house datacenters and co-location sites Experience in managing high performance computing environment and large server farms (10 of thousands of servers) Significant experience in designing and implementing disaster recovery for software product development Experience in Data Network design principles particularly as they relate to Network segmentation and Zero Trust implementation Managing managed services providers & partnerships Great affinity with Security Frameworks and Privacy Standards Significant work experience within a fast-paced and fast-evolving DevOps environment A demonstrated experience in enterprise network technologies as well as experience working in a large database and applications operational environments. Significant experience in service management and agile practices and processes within a continuous delivery environment. The candidate must additionally demonstrate strong system-level troubleshooting skills and possess an ability to identify and resolve high-level scalability and performance issues. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record for driving change with measurable outcomes. Transformation leadership capabilities and the ability to inspire and lead a team through change and transition. Demonstrated knowledge in influencing business practices and present complex technical content to executive staff Proven ability to have a strong technical foundation to establish credibility with internal partners Willing to travel 25% Excellent written and verbal communicationsThe salary range for this position is $187,100 to $336,800 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. If you reside in the Bay Area the salary range for this position is $220,200 to $352,300 and this role is eligible to earn incentive compensation. The actual compensation offered is based on the successful candidate’s work location as well as additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education/training.
