Job Description

The Financial Planning and Analysis team is expanding to ensure we meet the needs of our rapidly growing business. We are looking for a Senior FP&A Analyst to join our FP&A team, reporting to the Senior Director of FP&A, Screening.

This role focuses on management reporting, planning, and business partnering with key leaders in R&D and G&A functions. The incumbent will work closely with business partners and FP&A/Accounting teams to report accurate actuals, forecast variances to budget; contribute to budgeting and strategic/financial planning process; and champion reporting process optimization.

  • Partner with the business leaders across R&D and G&A functions, providing robust monthly and quarterly senior-level financial performance reporting.
  • Clearly communicate a cohesive and concise story around the business drivers behind financial data and implications on current and future results.
  • Evaluate and assess key operational issues, risks and business drivers pertaining to budget, actual results, and forecast updates, suggesting solutions and alternatives where appropriate to operating leaders including but not limited to operational efficiency, cost saving opportunities, capital expenditure decisions, etc.
  • Key contributor in quarterly forecast/annual budgeting and planning process, including expense and headcount planning, and implementing appropriate review process.
  • Support and contribute to month-end close/reporting activities, investigations of significant variances, and communication of findings to key stakeholders.
  • Develop deep understanding of financial planning and ERP systems to enable and build reporting to support forecasting, close and variance to actuals analysis.
  • Drive reporting process improvements and enhance data transparency to provide timely and accurate financial information to business leaders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or technical field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of work experience in financial planning & analysis.
  • Excel Power User proficiency required.
  • Experience with ERP and financial planning systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion, etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively (written and verbally) with good strong presentation and organization skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across different functions.
  • Thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment under pressure.
  • Desire to solve problems and improve processes.
  • Strong eye for details and an analytical approach in identifying insights.
  • Forward-thinking demeanor and highly adaptable nature.
  • Positive outlook and willingness to roll up your sleeves and get things done.
  • Naturally inquisitive with an aptitude for learning new tools and desire to continue to build skills.
