Distinguished by its ability to swiftly and flexibly address intricate financing challenges, the firm is highly sought after as a partner by technology entrepreneurs.Senior Fund Accountant$115k-$135kSF - In OfficeThis role involves providing support for engagements with both equity and debt investors. Responsibilities encompass tasks such as creating presentations, analyzing data related to investor activity, assisting with investor inquiries, conducting investor targeting, and handling other operational projects as requested by management.Responsibilities

Manage third-party accounting team to produce monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports, handling tasks like journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, fixed asset reconciliations, and expense allocations.

Proactively find ways to enhance operational efficiency and improve processes and controls.

Collaborate with the Director of Finance to meet team goals and contribute to special projects as needed.

Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements and performance calculations.

Handle quarterly valuations for portfolio companies.

Assist with managing capital calls and distributions.

Maintain and organize capitalization tables and financing documents from investments.

Support forecast activities, including calculating fund Internal Rate of Return (IRR).

Lead external audits and/or funds account management.

Facilitate the onboarding of Portfolio Management System (PMS) systems.

Analyze expenses, including allocating fund-related expenses for external fund administrators.

Manage the annual budgeting process and quarterly reforecasts.

Manage expenses and reimbursement processes.

Manage fixed asset records and system entries.

Requirements

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related business degree; CPA and/or MBA preferred.

3+ years of professional experience at a fund management company, fund admin or public accounting.

Experience managing teams or third-party providers.

Experience with cash management, AR, AP, fixed assets, expense reporting, budgets, and forecasting.

Experience with managing financial statement audits and tax preparation.

Experience with QuickBooks or similar systems.

Enthusiastic about learning and a hands-on approach to tasks.

Strong personality, charisma, and energy; adept at interacting with various "clients" such as individuals within the firm, investors, and CEOs/CFOs of associated companies.
