Senior Linux Engineer

• As one of the key members of the project team, the Linux engineer will be responsible for developing key Linux based components of the printer/copier controller firmware and Linux server based solutions
• Develop and maintain the Linux based applications, server components, port application or modules from non-Linux OS to Linux.
• Integrate third party product to KM platform, develop Linux based modules for both KM Server and FW architecture
• Resolve critical issues in a timely fashion by adapting effective application and kernel level debugging techniques
• Achieve project goals within allotted schedules and work under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Follow agile based software engineering process and monitor both on-site or off-shore engineer activities to adhere to the defined process
• Guide and train junior engineers in the team.
• Ability to work on different projects in parallel while delivering results

• Expertise and working knowledge of Linux OS at both Application and Kernel level development.
• Good understanding of both Embedded and Server Linux technologies
• Ability to develop network and security solutions for Linux based platforms
• Ability to work with embedded controller boards and, port solutions from non-embedded platforms to embedded platforms and vice versa.
• Expertise and working knowledge of Linux development - Kernel, application and build systems. Good kernel debugging skills.
• Experience in development, debugging, and productizing of large software projects based on both C and object oriented languages like C, Java etc. Good working knowledge in C programming language, assembly and debugging skills.
• Experience working with IDE based environments and tools used for embedded development.
• Excellent implementation skills and strong basics of structured software engineering.
• Quick learner, self-motivated, ability to work in fast paced environment.
• Motivated team player with good communication skills.

• Knowledge of both Networking and Security technologies.
• Working knowledge of peripheral technologies like Bluetooth, USB, Ethernet etc.
• Familiarity with internals of Mobile OS like iOS, Android, Windows Mobile etc.
