Job Responsibilities

Network Engineering SME for the Cloud & IP DevOps team, including lead responsibilities for network design and troubleshooting for physical and virtual networks
Maintain data centers and environmental facilities including but not limited to UPS, backup generator power, fire prevention systems, and HVAC
Plan, install, and support the company's physical computer infrastructure (hardware, storage, networks, lab systems)
Troubleshoot issues within the data center and physical infrastructure
Aggressively leverage infrastructure-as-code principles to reduce manual configuration and rework wherever possible
Manage and support change and release processes for physical environments
Provide cost and design proposals and liaise with vendors
Establish physical operational support procedures for all systems
Maintain inventory and hardware lifecycles
Create metrics and monitoring to aid in SLA reporting

Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years of networking configuration and management
Proficient in installation, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of networking gear including, but not limited to, Palo Alto firewalls, Juniper Switches and virtual chassis, and Cisco devices
Experience with DNS, DHCP, SD-WAN, BGP, OSPF, and DDoS mitigations
Strong working expereince implementing and maintaining complex routing with a full range of layer 1-7 technology and protocols
Strong working experience managing and administering virtualized systems on VMware and Nimble stack
Familiarity with Hybrid Cloud (VMware and AWS) interoperability
Demonstrated ability to code at a proficient level in either Python or Golang
Strong background in Linux/Unix Administration and Networking
