Zscaler is looking to recruit a Sr. Payroll Specialist to assist the team in the key operational needs of the payroll processing for our North America employees, support the month-end close process, and implement best-in-class procedures as well as drive process improvements and transformation to scale the back-office function to meet the fast-paced growth of the organization.

This role will be a key member of the Accounting & Finance team. This individual will be a dynamic, detail-oriented, and strategic partner for finance who is capable of collaborating across departments as well as working independently.Process the semi-monthly Canada payroll using Pay@WorkAssist with the semi-monthly US payrolls using ADP Workforce NowResponsible for reporting US and Canada equity transactions (NSOs, ISOs, ESPP and RSUs) in PayrollPerform variable pay, stock, or other supplemental or non-recurring pay runs, ensuring timely tax depositsEnsure timely reporting and payment of the employer’s and employees’ withholding taxes and miscellaneous withholdings to appropriate agencies - Work with ADP Tax Services to resolve any issuesResponsible for preparation of payroll journal entries and GL account reconciliationsFamiliar with ADP Workforce Now from both payroll and general ledger perspectivesContinuously identify and develop process efficiency solutions to streamline operations and improve productivityResponsible for filing payroll amendmentsAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage multiple projects while simultaneously meeting payroll and departmental deadlinesMaintain compliance of payroll processes within SOX guidelinesEnsure that payroll processing related controls and narratives are kept up to date and accurately represent current best practicesResponsible for accurate processing of year-end payroll, W-2, and government reportingAbility to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional mannerCollaborate with People and Culture (HR) for payroll related matters such as new hires, terminations, merit increases, benefits, and change of statusWork on special projects, including process documentation and improvements, system updates, integrations, or implementations including user acceptance testing (UAT)Maintains knowledge of applicable state and federal wage and hour laws. Facilitates management and employee understanding of payroll requirements and proceduresAbility to provide consistent high-quality service to both internal and external payroll clients through inquiry resolutions and follow upsFamiliarity with processing payroll with SuccessFactors as the HRIS is preferredPrevious system implementation experience is a plus to assist with the upcoming implementation of Ceridian Dayforce, company’s future Global Payroll System
