Senior Principal Systems Engineer

• Providing architectural, operational concept, requirements and interface control support for space systems from early acquisition through operations & sustainment
• Lead spacecraft payload studies in collaboration with development, operations, and sustainment stakeholders to optimize performance in support of operational requirements
• Evaluate contractor system/payload designs, operations concepts, specifications, and interface products for technical completeness and performance suitability
• Ensure logical and systematic conversion of spacecraft payload requirements into total systems solutions that are compliant with technical, schedule, and cost constraints

• Bachelor's Degree with 14+ years of relevant experience
• Must have an in-scope background investigation (SSBI/T5) and the ability to obtain Sensitive Compartment Information and Special Access Program accesses as well as be willing to consent to a counter-intelligence polygraph examination
• Experience in Systems engineering within the context of major systems development
• Space systems design and development and payload integration experience
• Knowledge of systems engineering processes, tools and techniques such as Model Based Systems Engineering

• Professional certification (e.g., Professional Engineer, INCOSE CSEP, etc)
• Experience within the National Security Space domain
• Experience working in development environment and, or U.S. Government weapons system program office
