Senior Product Designer

Job Description Our client is seeking a full time Senior Product Designer to join their team! The world's leading fashion search engine with the largest offering across 18 million products from more than 1,400 edited brands and retailers across the globe. By partnering with a curated selection of the best retailers and brands, their customers are confident in their search results covering every brand or store worth shopping; resulting in a smart, quick, relevant, and inspirational shopping experience. Based out of San Francisco, this role is either hybrid (in office on Thursdays) for local candidates or can be 100% remote for the right candidate that is not local. The ideal candidate can show strong examples of applying design process thoughtfully from end to end experiences, has a proven focus on UX design, and enjoys working across all aspects of design, leading a project from concept through completion. • 5+ years of experience conducting research and some of it in a fast-moving product organization
• Extensive experience designing and building end-to-end experiences
• Show strong examples of applying the design process thoughtfully to end to end experiences they've worked on
• Proven focus on UX design with a strong ability to distill complex ideas, goals and problems into design solutions
• Has deep understanding of users, what they need, what they value, their abilities, and also their limitations
• A systems thinker with experience operating within and contributing to a holistic experience
• Worked with development teams and participated in working sessions to discuss the constraints, potential solutions and the transitions between design and code
• Able to build strong cross-functional partnerships and collaborated across disciplines to drive change into products
• You are a self-starter and able to manage and work on multiple projects concurrently
• Enjoy working across all aspects of design, leading a project from conception through completion
• Great communication and writing skills

• A background in beauty and retail is a plus! Retail doesn't need to be in fashion (retail experience in Home Depot or Pet Smart is considered relevant!)

• Design and build new and engaging solutions to help our users discover new products and trends
• Take full responsibility for all aspects of the design process including user research, UX design, visual design, and prototyping
• Lead and shape our product at a fast-moving pace whilst maintaining a high bar of product quality
• Work in partnership with our business partners, product managers, and engineers to define problems, identify insights, and measure solutions
• Advocate for user needs while pushing boundaries to break the product's status quo and get us to the ideal future state
• Regularly participate in Design Critique, solicit feedback, provide feedback to the rest of the design team, and help other designers grow their skills
• Run user research sessions to help inform your work and advocate research findings to diverse audiences through written reports and presentations
• Drive innovation, explore novel technologies and elevate the product experience internally and externally
