Job Title: Senior Product Manager Location: San Jose, CAJob Type: Contract Job Description: Product Manager/Business Analyst to join the Global Finance Product team, which is a part of Payments Product and Engineering organization. This position is based in San Jose, CA. This person will work on defining the accounting and sub-ledger and reconciliation requirements for client's products in collaboration with Accountants and Payment Platform and Transaction Ledger product managers. A successful candidate will need to be a self-starter, have an inquiring mind and proactive nature. To develop actionable insights the individual will need to work with product, risk, and finance operations teams to determine the critical requirements of the data and technical design, but also to outline proposals for improvement. Job Duties and Responsibilities will include:

  • Design and deliver detailed finance requirements, including process workflows, accounting rules, data element specifications, user stories, and acceptance test cases for new features and feature enhancements.
  • Facilitate finance product delivery and rollouts through coordinating heavily with cross-functional teams within Finance.
  • Identify and propose enhancements to sub-optimal and manual processes using principals of Operational Excellence.
  • Work closely with accounting operations, payment platform teams, and product owners to define ledger requirements and influence any payment platform design.
  • Maintain a library of technical documents and business requirements that support the Finance and document management systems within client.
Qualifications:
  • BS/BA or higher degree. An accounting degree is a significant plus.
  • 5+ years of relevant Product management experience that demonstrates the ability to perform data analysis and research and problem solving within data files and other data sources.
  • Experience in payments, banking, credit union, accounting, reconciliation, or other financial systems and integration of such systems.
  • Strong communication skills - including the ability to listen to the needs of others and comprehend complex matters, articulate issues in a clear and concise manner, and present effectively in both oral and written presentations to all levels in the organization.
  • Understanding of basic accounting and financial reconciliation including comfort with the multi-currency environment is a strong plus.
  • Strong system and data flow knowledge. Ability to learn and adapt to new product flows and software technologies.
  • Experience with top tier ERP systems and/or previous SAP experience a strong plus.
  • Team-oriented approach with a well-developed sense of urgency and follow-through. Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
  • High level of energy and a desire to thrive in a large, complex, fast-paced organization.
  • Strong work ethic, including the ability to work independently, but also knows how to have fun while doing it!
  • This position requires occasional travel.
