The Amazon EC2 Commercial Software Services team is looking for a senior Product Manager to build new capabilities to grow adoption of SAP workloads on AWS.As the right candidate, you should possess deep technical skills in both SAP ecosystem products and cloud computing as well as customer and partner facing skills that will enable you to represent AWS supporting customers and the SAP community. As a senior product manager in our team you will be working on the design and development of services that integrate and extend SAP applications like S/4HANA, SAP ERP and SAP SaaS applications with higher level AWS services. In this position, you will manage the entire product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution. You will play a pivotal role in defining product requirements, owning product roadmaps, executing on go-to-market strategies, and tirelessly championing the needs of our customers. Working with cutting-edge technologies from machine learning all the way to the latest processor technology, you will build disruptive capabilities into the service that appeal to the unique needs and requirements of the next generation of cloud native applications. You must be comfortable working with cross functional global teams in a dynamic organization as the program will have interdependencies with other teams within AWS. This will be a cross functional role where you will work with Engineering, Product Management, Product Marketing, and Sales to help customers migrate and modernize their legacy SAP applications on AWS.A successful candidate must have exceptional problem solving skills, strong business judgment, and demonstrated experience leading cross-functional teams. We are looking for a proven ability to execute both strategically and tactically, and someone who is excited to take on new, ambiguous projects that will be industry defining. You’ll have a sound understanding of AI/ML technologies and practical industry experience, working across the SAP stack involving modern ABAP technology, SAP Integration frameworks, OData services and SAP Business events. You will also have sound understanding of technology involving modern web, SOA, NoSQL databases, AI, ML, Big Data and more.Key job responsibilities Innovate on behalf of our customers. Own and drive the product management for SAP Applications (migrations and modernizations) on AWS. Identify needs, opportunities, and gaps, and accordingly drive product strategy, roadmap, and features. Analyze market and prioritize specific workloads to build scalable motions to help accelerate migration and modernization to AWS. Working backwards from customer needs, and in collaboration with stakeholder teams, develop and launch migrations methods, tools, and prescriptive guidance for internal and external customers. Manage the product lifecycle from strategic planning to tactical execution. Develop and mentor other team members. Demonstrated track record of defining and launching. products/services as a result of software development lifecycle. Ability to communicate complex technical issues simply and convincingly to a wide range of audiences.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS A master’s degree in business or related technical fields. 12+ years of software product management experience in enterprise database, storage, or cloud infrastructure domains.
