This department is under the umbrella of Business Technology Shared Services and Work Management. Position SummaryThis senior position is in the SAP PS and PPM Design Team supporting multiple PG&E lines of businesses. This position works closely with IT Architects, Requirements Analyst, Developers, Testers, and business subject matter experts to design, implement and maintain SAP PPM and PS Modules. Candidate must be highly motivated and take initiative to work with other members on application issues openly, directly, and respectfully. PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity. We would not anticipate that the individual hired into this role would land at or near the top half of the range described below, but the decision will be dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.A reasonable salary range is:Bay Area Minimum: $109,000.00Bay Area Mid-point: $142,000.00Bay Area Maximum: $175,000.00&/ORCalifornia Minimum: $104,000.00California Mid-point: $135,000.00California Maximum: $166,000.00This position is hybrid, working from your remote office and your assigned location based on business need.Job Responsibilities:Deliverables- Serves as key technical and functional resource within the area of Project System and Portfolio Project Management System
- Demonstrates understanding of business processes for multiple business functional areas, and can effectively coordinate the work on analysis and requirements for several projects
- Demonstrates good understanding of the following areas: project management, business processes, SAP development, SOX compliance, regulatory compliance, operational/disaster recovery, operations, maintenance, etc
- Demonstrates a level of expertise to act as a recognized authority for a projects or initiatives
- Analyze end-to-end complex business processes and information needs for multiple business functional areas
- Define and document technical design, follow by development to meet requirements
- Evaluate, design and document solution alternatives to accommodate business needs or solve business issues
- Provide estimates for new development and enhancements
- Responsible for development and Implementation of solutions
- Performs system functionality gap analysis
- Assisting with data conversion/migration, testing, training, and cutover activities
- Provide knowledge transfer/training to other team members
- Participate in defect management process, set priorities, research issues, and discuss compliance impacts and timelines
- Incident Response and end user support - Provide Level 3 support to the TSC. Provide expertise for issue resolution
- Mentors the associate, career, and entry level team members
- Provide timely responses to client inquiries or delegate as appropriate
- Interact with third party interface providers for end-to-end solution support
- SAP PPM, or PS Module Technical and Functional Expertise & Strategy - Work with IT and Business to provide strategic guidance within the overall SAP technology and promote standard SAP solutions and best practices
- Provide consulting in information technology to the client to identify and satisfy the business needs
- Take initiative to understand in detail of current architecture and planning for future application changes
- Facilitate, influence, and build agreements on IT requirements and deliverables for multiple business clients
- BA/BS in Computer Science/ Information Systems, Business, Engineering, etc. or equivalent work. Advanced degree is a plus.
- 5 or more years of job-related experience in information technology knowledge in understanding SAP BW, BOBJ basic functionality w/ -\
- 3 years of experience in SAP development or business analysis
- Strong knowledge of the Application Development Lifecycle
- Skill and experience leading solution design and development on multiple SAP implementation projects
- Experience in application integration
- Hands-on configuration experience and strong technical understanding of SAP PPM and PS objects and transactions Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience in Utility Industry
- Having good understanding and/or experiences in SAP PM module
- Having good understanding of SAP HANA platform
- Functional Designs for SAP Project Systems and Portfolio Project Management processes based on business requirements
