Senior Python Developer

Job Title: Sr Python DeveloperLocation: Remote We are looking for an experienced senior software engineer to work on the design, development, implementation, and support of customer eCommerce platform. What You’ll Be Doing: Work with stakeholders and designers to develop user friendly and intuitive web applications for eCommerce platformParticipate in requirements gathering, technical specification, design, and development of software for customer facing applicationsPromote software engineering best practice What You’ll Bring to the Team: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field5+ years of experience delivering commercial cloud-based software applications with rich UIs that scale gracefully across different browsers and devicesSelf-starter with a strong work ethic and desire to write clean maintainable codeExperience as a technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycleExpertise in Python, React, and Ruby on RailsSold experience with PostgreSQL and NoSQLExperience in cloud-based development using AWS including Lambda applicationsExperience with Message Queuing frameworks such as RabbitMQ and KafkaExperience working with geographically dispersed software development teamsSolid knowledge of modern software technologies and practices including microservices, CI/CD, and container-based technologiesExpert knowledge of REST API developmentAbility to work in a fast paced, agile development environmentHave familiarity with MES or LIMS systemsWorking knowledge of Git and familiarity with the Github workflowExcellent written and verbal communication skills
