Senior Software Engineer, Square Compliance Engineering

The Square Compliance Engineering team builds systems to find and report financial crimes activity across the entirety of Square’s product line. We work globally with partners in engineering and compliance to manage regulatory risk at scale, keeping our business and customers safe from financial crimes while simultaneously helping the business move faster with product innovations.

We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help us build the next generation of investigation and workflow tools to support Square’s entire compliance program. At our scale, we need to ensure our tools can keep up with billions of dollars in transactions across traditional payment and blockchain networks. Help us uncover sophisticated money laundering and criminal fraud activities to further our mission of economic empowerment for all.

You Will: Design and implement the next generation of investigation and workflow tools for Square’s compliance programPartner with other technical teams in the wider compliance engineering and technology organizationUtilize a product oriented mindset, working closely with product, operations, and other stakeholders to gather and refine requirementsLead efforts to help shape the future technical direction of the teamProvide mentorship to other engineers and help set a strong and positive team culture
