Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer We’re looking for an experienced

Software Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure high quality in our web and mobile products and services by working closely with Product Management, Development, QA, and other internal teams. The Software Quality Assurance Engineer will join a small team of five QA Engineers and will be working on a new product for a leading Fintech company, developing the new generation of Personal Finance Management applications. Responsibilities:
  • Act as a strong advocate for quality in the product development process for the team
  • Make recommendations to improve product reliability, performance, and quality assurance best practices and processes
  • Lead some initiatives from inception to production and beyond, with heavy hands-on activities
  • Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, and QA team to clarify inconsistencies between specifications, test cases, and product behavior
  • Support product releases and participate in post release activities
  • Use documentation and networking tools to determine whether bugs are caused by the server or client
  • Identify and document clear steps to reproduce bugs and work with the team to prioritize test cases
  • 100% Manual testing in the beginning – will move to Automation later
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years professional experience in web and/or mobile testing for a consumer-facing product
  • API expertise (REST) on how the client communicates to/from servers
  • Experience creating, maintaining and updating test plans/test suites in a very fast paced feature changing environment
  • Ability to think outside of the box and beyond the obvious to uncover behind-the-scenes type bugs
  • Experience with at least 2 of the following: JavaScript, Selenium, Appium, Java, or Jenkins
  • Experience with defect tracking software (Jira)
  • Ability to triage problems, prioritize accordingly, and propose a resolution
  • BS/MS in computer science or equivalent work experience
