This platform will comprise a new centralized electrical architecture powered by Arene, Woven Planet's flagship programmable automotive software system that integrates on-vehicle OS and data collection services with the cloud.This team will deliver concept hardware and software solutions driven by high-quality UX research that defines an end-to-end product definition for Toyota's next-generation vehicles. This concept work will produce a full-stack solution starting with the digital services, the programmable software system, and the underlying compute and electrical architecture of the vehicle. This team represents the cutting edge of software and hardware development at Toyota. Your work will marry the speed and agility of Silicon Valley software development with the standards of functional safety, craftsmanship, and time-tested quality of Toyota products in a fast-paced, prototyping environment. JOB OVERVIEWAs a member of the Automotive Systems Engineering team, you will work on developing a modern vehicle operating system and platform, focusing on software for sensor integration and visualization.RESPONSIBILITIES- Design, develop and deploy embedded software for vehicle application and sensor systems
- Design, develop, analyze and debug Computer Vision applications on Linux, Android and QNX based systems.
- Develop multi-threaded systems as well as embedded platform development on Real-Time OS
- Assist in software-design and code reviews while assisting other developers on technical issues, design choices and decision making
- Design and implement software in an embedded environment
- Analysis of requirements, the architecture, design, development, code review, quality assurance and deployment of entire software engineering life cycle
- Work closely with other development and cross-functional team members
- B.S., M.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Software Development life cycle experience, from requirements gathering through to implementation and maintenance.
- Must have strong C/C programming skills
- 5+ years software development experience for systems with live sensor inputs
- Embedded software development and optimization
- Experience working on GPU computing or computer vision
- Multi-threaded and multi-core programming
- Real Time Operating Systems (for example QNX)
- Good team player with great communication skills
- Passionately motivated to take ideas from R&D phase to a product
- Experience in automotive applications
- Safety critical systems (ISO 26262)
- Scripting languages (for example PERL, Python)
- Software security
- Experience with CAN, Ethernet
