Shipping Clerk

Warehouse Worker - START THIS WEEKJob DescriptionA distribution company that manufactures automotive parts is seeking a long-term shipping clerk/warehouse worker.Responsibilities

Receive and restock inventory, dispatch, and overstock.

Load and unload materials from trucks.

Break down boxes and package items for shipment.

Use order rolling stairs, pickers, and RF scanners to fulfill orders.

Package items for shipment.

Pick orders utilizing stairs to reach material for the automotive industry (rolling stairs may range from 7-15 steps long).

Essential Skills

Experience with picking, RF scanners, packing, packaging, pallet jack, unloading, loading, and order picking.

Knowledge of shipping and receiving processes.

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.

Comfortable utilizing rolling safety ladders, about 5-7 steps (occasionally up to 15 steps).

Ability to speak, read, and write English.

Must be able to stand, walk, sit, push, pull, and reach with hands and arms. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, or squat.

Work Environment

The noise level in the work environment is usually high due to forklifts and other machines running through the facility.

The position is for the 2nd shift (2 PM-10:30 PM, Monday to Friday), with mandatory overtime up to 2 hours daily and occasional Saturdays.

The dress code includes plain shirts, jeans without holes, and closed-toed shoes.
