Shop Assistant

We’re looking for a reliable and hardworking Shop Assistant to join our operations team. This individual will support our Shop Manager in the day-to-day functions of our equipment yard, warehouse, and shop facility. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and has a strong work ethic.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with daily maintenance and cleaning of company-owned tools, trucks, and heavy equipment

Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment for jobsite deliveries

Track inventory of materials, equipment, and supplies in the yard and warehouse

Help with shop organization and upkeep

Support mechanics with light mechanical tasks as needed

Follow safety procedures at all times and maintain a clean, hazard-free work environment

Assist with material staging for active projects

Minimum Requirements:

Valid driver's license and clean driving record

Basic mechanical aptitude or experience around tools and construction equipment

Ability to lift 50+ lbs regularly and work on your feet for extended periods

Strong attention to detail and willingness to follow instructions

Dependable and punctual

Preferred Qualifications:

Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain)

Experience in construction, warehousing, or equipment maintenance
