Site Reliability Engineer

Job Description :Location – Remote Start (Relocation required after 2-3 Months to North Carolina)Duration – 12+ Months ContractRole/Title – Site Reliability EngineerDescription:5+ years of Experience in managing highly-scalable and distributed systems.Knowledge of Web Services, HTTP/HTTPS Protocols.Knowledge of Data Security, SSL, Certificates, etc.Strong problem solving, and troubleshooting skillsExperience in performance tuning of the applications including JVM tuning, memory profiling.Provide OnCall support to 1st level production support teams.Fast learner who is generous with their knowledgeSelf-directed, demonstrates leadership potential, and a great teammate.Experience with container orchestration systems like Kubernetes, and Continuous Delivery platforms like Spinnaker, is a plus.Key ResponsibilitiesDatabase Queries, Aggregations and performance optimizationsJava/Kotlin programming (4-6 Years)Concurrent programming and data structuresJSON/YAML experiencePostgres/Oracle experience as a Software EngineerMap Reduce concepts and/or working experienceAny of the following is an advantage:• Practical experience with CockroachDB, Cassandra, FoundationDB, DynamoDB• Public cloud platforms (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, etc)• Deployment experience using Docker and Kubernetes• Relational data modeling & practical experience with RDBMS (Oracle, Postgres, MySQL etc)• Practical experience with Apache Kafka• Fintech experience• Payments experienceThanks and Regards,
