In the heart of Silicon Valley, the Northrop Grumman Sunnyvale location is undergoing an initiative to modernize their existing business systems and custom applications. We are looking for a developer to support this effort, convert apps to new platforms, and innovate archive strategies for systems to be retired. The selected candidate will work independently as well as be a team player.

Telecommuting is an option, however some travel may be required.

Responsibilities
  • Support existing custom applications written in Java, WebLogic and/or ColdFusion
  • Convert existing Java, WebLogic and/or ColdFusion applications to Oracle APEX
  • Support the archiving projects which requires reverse engineering existing applications
  • Work with Customer Relations Managers (CRM) Project Managers and Analysts to gather technical requirements
Skills
  • Basic understanding of HTML
  • Basic understanding of functional and object oriented programming
  • Basic understanding of HTTP
  • Advanced understanding of Java and JavaScript, SQL, ColdFusion, WebLogic, and APEX
  • Basic understanding of Oracle database platform, Microsoft Access, and SQL server
  • Create SQL queries for data mapping
  • Solid communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced level of experience creating technical requirements
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelors degree and at least 9 years of relevant experience; 7 years with a Masters degree. (Appropriate combination of experience and education will be considered in lieu of the degree requirement)

Salary Range: $125,800 USD - $188,600 USD Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
