Robert Half is seeking an ambitious and talented Software Engineer III to join our innovated HCM Applications and Technology group. Our team builds on and supports the HCM, Payroll, Benefits and Time modules, currently in PeopleSoft 9. A critical integration that the team built, and supports are APIs integrating PeopleSoft Time functionality with our Native Mobile App. In the next 5-6 years, the planning and implementation of the next-gen application to replace PeopleSoft 9. Application solution for our corporate, field, and external (candidate/client) users were and continues to be built on PeopleSoft, API integrations, Lambda, AWS, automation and many other tools for integration and file/documents transfers.We have a consistent track record of success in achieving a broad range of goals and timely delivery year after year. We are very proud of our team which we consider our family at work!A successful Software Engineer III candidate will analyze, design, build, test, implement and modify software enhancements and/or new applications. Completes SDLC documentation, and procedures for all phases of software development lifecycle. Collaborate with IT partners and with users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications. Also, as needed, supports launched applications in the production environment. Part of the responsibility of the Build team is to assist production support as needed. As part of the team, all software engineers are required to be part of a weekly rotating schedule to support P1 issues outside of normal business hours.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

5+ years Software Engineering experience within a medium to large IT organization; 3+ years with MS in Engineering or related field

5+ years experience in Integration technology (API, web services, etc). Multiple programming or scripting language (c#, Java, JavaScript, SQL, XML interfaces), building/modifying programs for a mid to large size application

Excellent knowledge and experience on database concepts, ability to write complex queries is required, highly skilled in SQL

Strong preference for applicants with experience in ERP/SaaS for HCM/Payroll/Time or extensive in-depth knowledge of multiple enterprise applications

Experience in a variety of software development methodologies (agile/hybrid/waterfall), knowledge of business systems software and software development lifecycle

PeopleSoft Technical Experience a plus

Good knowledge and experience in AWS concepts a plus

Excellent knowledge and experience on software development lifecycle (SDLC), methodologies, tools and practices

Excellent knowledge and experience on of n-tiered architecture and basic knowledge of network concepts

Ability to interact and communicate with IT partners and customers of varying levels of expertise, complex technical information to less-technical users and in-depth business processes to technical resources

Ability to create very complex process flow diagrams or flowcharts that demonstrate business or system process flow

Ability to gather requirements effectively; document requirements and confirm observations with business owners and perform fit/gap analysis based on requirements; design and implement complex enhancements; applications

Experienced in mentoring and leading junior software engineers

The typical annual salary range for this position is shown below and is negotiable depending upon experience and location.
