• Our team is looking for an experienced Software Engineer to be part of a data distribution platform team within the corporate segment.
• This team is responsible for building services that power experiences across many of the most recognized brands.
• In this role you'll be an integral part of the file transfer and management team within the Data Solutions & Platforms organization.
• We are currently on a multi-year journey to help standardize and modernize the way our enterprise scale systems share data.

• The software engineer that joins our team will be part of a data transformation journey to facilitate the standardization and modernization of file transfer and sharing.
• The role will be responsible for the quality of delivery of existing applications as well as new applications that take full advantage of cloud native architecture and microservices.
• This role will specifically be focused on our multi-tenant distribution platforms, which ensure that core content, presentational, front of house system, and personalized data are all efficiently distributed to our many product experiences using file transfer systems such as SFTP
• Data Solutions & Platforms Team builds data platforms and delivers data & analytics solutions for business groups. We are focused largely on enterprise data-Finance, HCM, and other corporate data domains.
• Our platforms and solution designs involve all aspects of data & analytics architecture and engineering: data integration, data security, data warehousing, data modeling, business intelligence and reporting, data visualization, data science, and robotic process automation.

• You will have a senior role on the team and will help design, build and maintain features for backend distribution services that take full advantage of vendor provided software solutions as well as TWDC developed systems.
• You'll be expected to be 100% hands-on development and deliver iteratively in an agile environment with an opportunity to provide mentorship and leadership to other team members as we continue to build a world class platform supporting some of premier client's brands.

• Drive efficiencies to processes and technology that improve the effectiveness of the team
• Contribute to the evolution of Engineering best practices
• Interface with a variety of stakeholders to help define requirements and project timelines
• Assist with full-stack development
• Research and experiment with the latest and greatest technologies to identify, evangelize, and apply them to current and future projects

• 5+ years of relevant industry experience
• Excellent programming skills and strong understanding of Modern programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, etc.
• Excellent understanding of file transfer and storage methods such as SFTP and cloud object storage such as AWS S3.
• Good understanding of data integration and delivery patterns via HTTPS, SFTP and API paradigms (REST, SOAP, GraphQL)
• Experience with developing for public clouds like Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) or Amazon Web Services (AWS)
• Experience with full software development lifecycle and common best practices such as unit testing, collaborative version control flows, and continuous integration (CI/CD)
• Proven ability to work on a diverse scope of projects requiring detailed analysis and creative/practical problem solving
• Strong analytical skills and capabilities for resolving a wide range of issues
• Self-starter with an interest in industry trends and a passion for innovation

• Experience working with and managing enterprise grade SFTP platforms such as Globalscape.
• Experience with real-time messaging frameworks, such as Kafka or Google Cloud Pub Sub
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform Dataflow and BigQuery
• Experience with Apache Beam and Spark
• Experience with developing high-volume and highly available distributed systems
