SOFTWARE QA MANAGER - Homes - IRVINE, CA

This position is in our Irvine, CA office and has the opportunity for hybrid work with up to two days remote per week. Four-day work weeks are also an option for those applicants that are interested.

Our Irvine, CA team is seeking an accomplished Software QA Manager to join our team in supporting the supporting multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as www.homes.com and www.homesnap.com . You will have a direct impact on highly visible Homes web applications that touch millions of users. You continuously learn emerging technologies and architecture advancements and apply the learnings to improve Homes' software products

As a Technical Manager QA, you will manage and lead a team of QA professionals that are responsible for maintaining high quality standards for the Homes.com product. You'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the QA organization, including but not limited to providing a solid vision for the QA organization, proactive testing plans to ensure high availability for critical systems, roadmaps to maximize test coverage with emphasis on automation, providing direction on CI/CD initiatives, serve as mentor for your team . You will also need to be a hands-on team player and perform tasks such as writing test cases, reviewing testing logs, performing manual tests, etc . You will work very closely with other Technical Managers , DevOps, Tech Leads and business partners to ensure the success of a variety of projects and initiatives. You'll also be responsible for hiring and developing talent within our organization. Providing ongoing metrics and reporting on quality metrics will be key as well.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science or Engineering preferred)
  • 8+ years of QA testing experience
  • 2 years of QA lead/management experience
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Understanding of modern web application development and deployment
  • Experience testing API's and UI with responsive web design
  • Experience with Agile SDLC and Test Cycles (Automation, Regression, User Acceptance)
  • Well versed in Microsoft TFS/Azure DevOps, MS Test, and Selenium
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • General troubleshooting log experience (Datadog, Kibana)
  • Experience testing iOS and/or Android applications
  • Experience with BrowserStack and Chrome Debug tools
  • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases
  • Experience with JavaScript and .Net
