Solidworks Draftsperson

We are designers and fabricators of custom and standard steel doors and windows and are looking to hire an experienced full-time Solidworks Draftsperson. Candidate must have a high level of craft and precision within Solidworks and hold themselves to a high standard of drafting delivery. The Solidworks Draftsperson is responsible for preparing detailed models, drawings, designs and plans for door and windows according to specifications provided by manager, supervisor, or project architect.

Essential Functions

· Output of standard and custom door and window operational and fabrication drawings

· Ability to read and interpret drawings, schedules, and details from architectural drawing sets

· Create models and assemblies for door and window product designs

· Output of parts, drawings, STEP, DXF and/or other file types for manufacturing

· Field measure projects with installers to recreate site conditions and context in as-built drawings

· Assist with models and drawings for custom projects as requested by Supervisor or Manager

· Maintain and update models and drawings in Solidworks PDM with the most current information, drawings views, components, and specifications

· Work with Supervisor to update and maintain a catalogue of standard systems

Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

The Draftsperson must possess a diverse range of knowledge and skills, including:

· Recent experience with the latest version of Solidworks, PDM, and AutoCAD

· Minimum 3 years on-the-job experience in this position or similar

· Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.

· Excellent organizational skills

· Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, prioritize, with attention to detail

· Strong proofreading and reviewing skills
