Space Communications Systems Engineer

Location: El Segundo, CA Salary: $104,550.00 USD Annually - $139,000.00 USD Annually Description: Our client is currently seeking a Space Communications Systems Engineer

• Designs, develops, and verifies next generation RF and digital space communications systems

• Develops payload architectures, generates proposals, and identifies and resolves trade studies

• Generates, allocates, verifies, validates, and sells off system and payload level requirements

• Performs RF and functional analyses and simulations

• Prepares and executes system and payload-level design reviews

• Develops, executes, and analyzes data for system and payload tests

• Troubleshoots and resolves test anomalies

• Performs system-level CONOPS development, functional analysis and decomposition

• Coordinates across interdisciplinary teams and participates in the identification and resolution of cross-functional technical issues

• Fosters strong customer relationships

• Leads payload systems engineering efforts and/or a program's payload team

• Mentors junior communication systems engineers

• Bachelor's Degree or higher; ten (10) or more years of directly related experience in lieu of a degree is acceptable.

• 3+ years of experience with systems engineering

• 3+ years of experience with RF systems analysis (such as gain-loss budgets, G/T and EIRP, passband performance, phase noise etc.)

• 1+ years of experience within the aerospace, defense, or similar high-tech industry
