This long-term contract / temporary employment opportunity is based in the San Diego, California area.What you get to do every single dayCoordinate quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Manage monthly accounting close procedures and deliverables (journal entries, reconciliations, reports) in compliance with GAAP
Dedication to continuously improve the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Be a part of various initiatives spanning multiple departments
Prepare Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Other projects as required
Create analysis on financial results (trends, performance metrics, benchmarks)
Arrange monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting
Function with business partners to ensure compliance with procedures and controls, corporate accounting policies, and provide support on special requests Requirements - Solid understanding of Expense Reconciliation
Proficiency in Expense Allocation
Command of Expense Accruals
Travel Expense experience
NetSuite experience preferred
SEC reporting and SOX compliance is a plus
Knowledgeable of ERP systems
Proven ability to work and communication well with manager-level associates
Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
Ability to work well in matrix organization and dealing with ambiguity
Highly capable of analyzing financial data and quickly creating accurate reports
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are highly desired
Strong time management and organizational skills
7+ years of overall general accounting experience
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
