Description An exciting banking company Downtown Los Angeles is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their team! This position will be responsible for performing various accounting functions including maintaining and reconciling general ledger accounts and processing a variety of bank accounting transactions/journal entries. Perform various accounting functions per established policies and procedures.

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts and oversee financial reporting systems.

Process diverse bank accounting transactions/journal entries and ensure accuracy of financial statements.

Prepare reports for management, board members, and regulatory agencies and make recommendations based on financial analysis.

Analyze and interpret financial data and recommend changes to improve systems and financial performance.

Ensure compliance with bank financial regulations and standards.

Participate in developing and implementing departmental strategic plans.

Assist with external and internal auditing procedures.

Develop, implement and maintain internal financial controls and procedures.

Collaborate with other departments to streamline procedures, enhance processes and improve financial performance.

Continually monitor banking legislation and regulations and ensure the organization's compliance.

Provide financial guidance to management and departments within the organization.

Contribute to the financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting process within the organization.

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Accountant role or similar position within the banking industry Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Detailed understanding of General Ledger maintenance and Journal Entries Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required Experience in Month End Close procedures Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field is preferred Excellent analytical, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment Strong ethical standards and high levels of integrity Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
