Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant based in Fresno, California. The role primarily involves the management and processing of financial transactions, including accounts payable, balance sheet account reconciliations, and the preparation of journal entries. The selected candidate will be instrumental in contributing to the financial health and growth of our operations within the industry.Responsibilities: Conduct balance sheet account reconciliation to ensure accuracy and compliance with US GAAP. Prepare and post journal entries as part of the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycles. Manage the accounts payable function effectively, ensuring timely payments and accurate record-keeping. Assist in the preparation of schedules for year-end CPA compilation and tax return preparation. Analyze, review, and file property tax assessments in accordance with applicable regulations. Prepare CAM reconciliations and budgets for each property to ensure accurate financial reporting. Participate in business process redesign and system development initiatives to improve operational efficiency. Review existing accounting processes and recommend changes as needed to enhance financial controls. Maintain a comprehensive set of accounting policies and procedures to guide financial management decisions.Requirements Must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role as a Sr. Accountant Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation is required Strong knowledge of US GAAP is essential Demonstrated experience in Account Reconciliation is necessary Familiarity with General Ledger management is expected Proficient in creating and managing Journal Entries Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
