Description We are offering an exciting opportunity in Simi Valley, California for a Senior Accountant to join our team. This role is instrumental in the manufacturing industry, primarily focusing on managing banking functions, performing reconciliations, and supporting accounting processes. The position is based in a bustling workplace environment, offering a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Oversee essential banking operations including daily cash reporting and various payment initiation processes. Perform routine and monthly bank reconciliations for multiple accounts. Handle balance sheet accounts, ensuring they are accurate and compliant. Record journal entries and prepare them for review. Code company credit card activity to relevant General Ledger expense accounts. Provide critical assistance to Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams. Contribute to month-end and year-end close processes, and assist with external audits as required. Generate regular and ad-hoc reports using Microsoft Excel. Identify and rectify errors in a timely manner, ensuring corrective adjustments are processed. Undertake additional duties and projects as assigned by the management team. Requirements Bbachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in a relevant manufacutring accounting role. Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations. Extensive experience with general ledger management and journal entries. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel for financial analysis and reporting. Experience with month-end close procedures. Familiarity with the manufacturing industry is preferred. Able to adhere to strict deadlines and handle multiple tasks concurrently. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work output.
