Description We are in the market for a Sr. Accountant to join our team in the Financial Services industry, situated in Signal Hill, California. The role involves various responsibilities central to the functioning of our Accounting department. Responsibilities: Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. Play an integral role in the month-end close process. Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks. Conduct regular bank reconciliations to maintain financial integrity. Process bi-monthly payroll for the team, ensuring all payments are made on time. Assist in HR duties, particularly focusing on employee onboarding and benefits. Maintain a comprehensive record of all financial transactions by making regular journal entries. Utilize skills in Microsoft Excel, NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to perform tasks efficiently. Balance sheet reconciliation to ensure all financial statements are accurate. Participate in account reconciliation activities to maintain financial order and accuracy. Requirements Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the financial services industry Proficient in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Demonstrable experience in working with General Ledger and Journal Entries Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel Experience in Month End Close procedures Knowledge of NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP software Familiarity with Benefits Payroll and bi-Monthly Payroll processes Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive information with discretion Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or similar certification would be an advantage Up-to-date knowledge of current financial regulations and accounting standards Proactive approach to work, with a willingness to take on additional responsibilities as required. 100% PAID employee benefits!
