Sr. Accountant

Description We are inviting applications for the role of Sr. Accountant in the hospitality industry. The position is based in LONG BEACH, California, and offers a contract to hire employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for reconciling accounts, maintaining balance sheet accuracy, and using various accounting software to perform reconciliations and account adjustments.Responsibilities: Facilitate the reconciliation of the Ticket Master account and other complex accounts Ensure accurate balance sheet reconciliations and make necessary adjustments Utilize various accounting software, including Manual, Ungerboeck, Great Plains, and Solomon, for reconciliations and account adjustments Maintain a strong attention to detail and efficiency in a fast-paced environment Leverage skills in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP for efficient task execution. Requirements Must possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry Proficiency in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations Extensive knowledge and experience in managing general ledger and journal entries Proficient in Microsoft Excel and capable of utilizing advanced functions Experience in overseeing the month-end close process Familiarity with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have a proactive approach to problem-solving Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently Commitment to ethical behavior and adherence to accounting standards and regulations CPA or other relevant certification is preferred.
