Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Wholesale Distribution industry, based in Sacramento, California. The Sr. Accountant will be responsible for overseeing other financial professionals, participating in budgeting processes, maintaining financial transaction records and ensuring legal compliance. The role also involves developing systems for financial transactions, overseeing ledger reconciliation, managing accounts payable/receivable, preparing trial balances and reconciling entries.Responsibilities: Oversee other financial professionals and participate in budgeting processes Maintain records of financial transactions and ensure legal compliance Develop systems for financial transactions and bookkeeping policies Oversee ledger reconciliation and manage accounts payable/receivable Prepare trial balances and reconcile entries Reconcile bank statements for multiple entities Prepare and distribute financial reports in preparation for audits Investigate and resolve accounting errors Utilize skills such as Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, Bank Reconciliations, General Ledger, Journal Entries, Microsoft Excel, Month End Close, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, and Excel Formulas. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Balance Sheet Reconciliation, and Bank Reconciliations Experience with General Ledger management and Journal Entries Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel including Excel Formulas Familiarity with Month End Close procedures Knowledge and experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP Prior experience in a Senior Accountant role within the Wholesale Distribution industry Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy Ability to multitask and handle multiple projects simultaneously Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field Professional certification such as CPA is preferred but not required Must possess a high level of integrity and ethical standards Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Strong organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
